FAQ
Straight answers about ownership, pricing, and scope.
Deliberate delivery — no feature theater. If something isn’t listed here, ask us.

What devices do you support?
Windows PCs and laptops, Mac, Google / Chromebooks, BYOD, tablets, and phones. Desktop and endpoint support is the core of the practice — not a server-only offering.
Who is Vasthelm for?
Whoever owns “is our business protected” — typically owners or operators of small teams (~10–50 people) who need real desktop support across a mixed fleet and are tired of not owning credentials or backups.
Do you support Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace?
Yes. We manage user lifecycle (onboarding/offboarding), security basics, and backups for both platforms.
Do you support BYOD?
Yes, with clear boundaries. Personal phones, tablets, and laptops that access company mail or files get scoped support — MFA, wipe guidance, and access control — without pretending we own the hardware.
Is support available 24/7?
Support is provided during business hours with defined response times. Critical issues are prioritized accordingly. This is not a 24/7 SOC.
Do we own our data and accounts?
Yes. Credentials, documentation, and administrative control stay under your ownership. We operate the systems; you retain the keys.
How is pricing structured?
$299/mo covers up to 3 users; each additional user is $79/mo ($299 + $79 × (seats − 3)). One-time onboarding is sized by team: $895 (1–8), $1,295 (9–18), $1,695 (19–30), $2,295 (31–50), and custom for 51+.
What does onboarding include?
Stabilize + core Modernize: password vault setup, ownership recovery, backup deployment with tested restores, recovery policy, full inventory, security baseline, and initial documentation.
How do I get started?
Sign up, book a short call, or email hello@vasthelm.com. Tell us roughly how many users and your mix of Windows, Mac, Google, and mobile — we’ll recommend onboarding tier and monthly coverage.
